My theory is that all casinos are plain
BAD when it comes about bonuses. If any casino would be good, it would enforce the max bet limit by software and also not leave the player click spin on a not allowed game. This doesn't happen so all are bad in my eyes.
Now the discussion is how bad they are?
1) I believe those who retroactively change bonus terms in order to void a player win are criminals.
2) Those who use predatory terms like "spirit of the bonus" / "casino can refuse payment if so it deems" are also criminals.
3) Those who reserves the right to change terms whenever they like without announcing their players (there are many of those):
I don't think they are criminals but it is just borderline because yes, it make sense to read terms when you register or even each time when you accept a bonus, but not each time you play! And while they can change terms anytime they want there is high chance of catching players in between and ripping them off deliberately. For example today I see a bonus of $100 with a 100x wagering requirement, read the terms and see that I am allowed to bet up to $25, I accept the bonus spin spin and boom 1000x bet win on a $25 spin. Say I am very tired and leave it to wager the remaining $2,000 tomorrow with a $25,000 in my balance. The casino gets scared of the big win and changes the terms overnight from maximum allowed $25 to maximum allowed $20 while having a bonus.
Next day I came to complete the bonus wagering, and boom I broke the terms because I have continued to wager with $25 like yesterday. Should I have had read the terms again before continuing to play?
And not only this, but even if there is nothing about bonuses, I read the terms when I sign up that's fine. But if you allow yourself to change the terms whenever you want without informing me of doing so, then maybe you have changed something that affects my patronage even if I do not play with bonuses. Maybe you have put in your terms that the maximum cashout is $1000 per week (or lower) and I am a high roller and obviously if I am warned about the change I stop playing at your site in a blink.
The point is, if I am happy to register with your site, is because I have read your terms and I am happy with them at the moment I have signed up. If you change terms I may no longer be happy with the changes made and decide to discontinue my agreement with you. So you
must inform me about the change. The fact that you reserve the right to change your terms without informing me is borderline criminal!
So friends, when you see a site reserving the rights to change terms without informing you, run as far as you can and never look back! How to do it: If I would ever run a casino and feel the need to update / change the terms I have in place, I would
announce all my players
by all means of contact:
log-in pop up,
SMS and email with the full list of new terms with at least one week
before new terms applies.
