Feminized indica seeds come from spraying a female with silver thiosulfate so she produces pollen, which is then used on another female, giving only female offspring. Done properly this is not the same as using a natural hermaphrodite, and it does not by itself pass on a tendency to hermie. Poor selection of the parents is what causes problems, not the method.
