I got my best friend turned onto online Bingo about two weeks ago. She’s totally hooked now. But, she was really confused by some of the shorthand that is used when communicating by chat.
I sat with her and even had to do a little research, but we compiled a list to help newbie’s decipher some of the “Bingo Lingo.”
Hope this helps! If I left anything out, please feel free to add.
<S> = smile <EG>= evil grin OTP= on the phone CUL= c u later HAGD= have a good day TC= take care BBS= be back soon GG= this will mean either good game or good going GM= good morning H+K= hugs and kisses JK= just kidding BBL= be back later HAGN= have a good night SS= so sorry GLA= good luck all ROFL= rolling on floor laughing AFK= away from keyboard AFAIK= as far as I know GL= good luck BLNT= better luck next time IMO= in my opinion PM= private message PPL= people SRY= sorry STU= same to you TY= thank you YVW= your very welcome WB= welcome back WTG= way to go
These are just some of the things that you may see when you are playing bingo online, and now you will know what everyone is saying.

That’s a great list, HowUDoin!
You can find a comprehensive list at Bingo24x7.com as well.
My favourites are:
L8R G8R - later gator SWL - screaming with laughter (((name))) - hugs
All the best, Sky

Thanks Skyla. I dig L8R G8R. I"ll definitely be adding it to my repertoire. Edited by user Thursday, July 15, 2010 5:22:08 AM(UTC)
