Licensing of casinos is a scam.
The jurisdictions get money. The casino gets credibility. The player gets fraudulent treatment.

Licences are bits of paper with no value. A dishonest operator will act dishonestly. An honest one, honestly.
An operator doesn't need a bit of paper to prove he is honest.

Let the market decide. Players will play at honest casinos and should shun those that are dishonest.
Bureaus of Standards (like Gambling Grumbles) are an essential part of informing the players. A stamp of approval from sites like Gambling Grumbles is far more significant than a piece of paper from a state appointed bureaucrat.

I fully agree with this. There is no reason for anyone to trust "licenses" simply because it's common knowledge that it's about money not quality.

Although, I'd feel like an unlicensed online casino would be even shadier. In fact, I've never heard of a reputable casino that isn't licensed.

I fully agree I registered a complaint to MGA it was reviewed without even questioning me or asking for evidence and it closed my case. I Read there report and was able to prove it to be misleading. The reason i was not paid my progressive win was that i had only 85 cents left and I had gambled it all but in truth i had over 23000 at the time and the money was withdrawn processed but never payed the casino then placed credits into my account and did not allow withdrawals on the credits this money was not requested as my players account showed the money had already been processed and because it showed in the casino that they had processed it they then could proceed to block all withdrawals then the casino informed me that much more money had been sent. I have 4 seperate emails from reps and even a floor manager a payment was sent oct 12 but it was never sent. Now how can an accredited casin get away with this? I was said that two payments were made one oct 9 another oct 12 in accordance to the 5000 per week rule that i was illegally placed in as it says in there terms and agreements that progressives to not apply to this rule. the it was said over on oct 23 that only one payment was made on Oct 12 and that the payment on Oct 9 failed in four emails then upon further investigation mga said two payment were made oct 9 the first one failed..

MGA had to reopen the case as i proved there was money in my casino account
I did everything by the book as required for a withdrawal on a progressive as per the terms and agreement and all docs approved and i prove that the casino was misleading information Now how is it that the authority would not be in favor for the player.

As it seems that its o for some online casino can break its own terms and agreements the seals and the licences it holds if it may cause the player to play there winnings... as long as they are paying there dues to MGA

This is the message MGA sends.

as its all about collecting the licencing fees for who does MGA work for the players or the casino as its the casino that pays them.
