If Britain leaves the European Union, it will no longer be subject to the myriad of onerous and often ridiculous regulations dreamed up by faceless, unelected bureaucrats in Strasbourg and which are imposed on UK businesses without consultation or consent. If Britain leaves it will be free to regulate business in the interests of British businessmen.
It is true that each constituent country determines its own local online gambling regulations. But that is subject to over-arching central regulation especially relating to general business conduct.
The absence of this overwhelming regulation might well attract more operators to be licensed in the UK despite the draconian point of consumption tax.
There are no discernible advantages to online gambling for the UK remaining in the EU.
