Hey Followers,
Today we got some news from
Gambling Grumbles. It is a story that tends to repeat with many casinos every now and then: players accessing their casino account from an IP used by someone else on some other occasion.
As Steve, correctly points out, that naturally can happen if you try to access you account from crowded places like: internet cafes, hotels, airports, or any public location with free wi-fi such as a bar etc.
George V. of Greece, although registered from home, he accessed his casino account from his work office. It seems that somebody else did the same thing and as that was a shared IP, he got accused of multi-accounting and got his account balance, in the amount of €1,841 confiscated (€2,036 euros being his total deposits!).
You can read the full report by clicking
this link, but that is pretty much all the story.
However, I would add that to be safe and 100% avoid such situations, a player should only access his account from his home IP and make sure that his home IP is not a dynamic one (make sure to ask your ISP to provide you with a static IP) !
Keep it Safe,
Constantin
