Hey Folks,

Today I have read about a Vegas Casino report on Gambling Grumbles, keeping a player's money (€4,200) hostage because the casino don't agree that the National ID Card of the player is a document officially issued by the country's government ! -- How dumb is that ? However the story goes even further, the player offered to go with his national ID card to a notary and send a legalized copy to the casino.

The casino turned player's offer down and insisted that the player must provide his Passport in conditions that the player does not have a passport ! -- The only solution I see for the player to get out of this mess, is for him to go and apply for a passport and be patient until he gets his passport (because for €4,200 is certainly worth the patience of 2-4 weeks until this process is completed and he get this document). I sense the player will indeed do so.

But who knows if in the end he will be paid or the casino will pull another dumb excuse in order to not pay ?

Keep it Safe,
Constantin

Update: after the report went live, the casino got back to Steve and said that player's National ID Card was "hand written, in extremely bad shape and was expired for 3 years".

Fair enough ! I agree with Steve that the expired thing should no longer serve as a valid document. It need updated, scanned, re-sent to the casino and the player will be paid.

Still, I can not keep silence, but I believe that the casino could have simply told this fact to Theodoros instead of telling him "that his national ID card is not issued by the Government of Greece" !

Hint: somehow I expect further updated on this report !

Keep it Safe,
Constantin
