Hi, I'm not sure whether it's an apt question here. It might look weird but I have to still ask this. Gambling was a passion for me in the younger age and dedicated my life to it. When I grew up this passion had grown with me. Now it's a craze for me. I just don't know what all things I have done. When I turn back, it is all about the loses. I lost the finances, my family and everything I had( to be honest). This has made me in a great dept. I don't know what to do. I just want to end my life. I know that I have made my pit! But as a last but not the least hope, can someone suggest me any recovery idea? If you can, then you are holding to a hand which needs the help. The things I see and read are not satisfying me. Recently I saw an article http://www.billfixer.com/gambling-debt/how-to-recover-from-gambling-debt/ , but this too was not solving my problem. I know god will send someone to me. I just need a glimpse of hope. Need guidance. Thanks in advance

First thing in solving your gambling problem would be to know what type of addiction do you have: is it online or offline? Is it about poker, sports, slots, table games or other type of gambling? Or ALL of them?
If it's online related and not about sports, you can play all the games you want for free, no need to put your money in and have the same excitement. Also there are applications such as Betfilter or GamBlock (both require a subscription) for PC and mobile to help you stop seeing and accessing gambling related websites.
If it's offline related you can request the casinos (or betting agencies) you frequent restrict your entry on their properties, I think there are laws which force them to comply with your request.
If illegal / underground gambling is your problem, that's more serious and you don't really have many options to stop reaching that places except your own WILL. But even so, reaching that places with no money in your pocket should help you. So ask your wife, sister / brother or parents to manage your own money. You will be given the exact amount that you need on a daily basis. Most payments including bills can be done online. If there is no one close to you to do all this for you, I think you can hire someone under a contract.
You will not be able to borrow money to gamble because you will not be able to pay back, the borrowers might batter you (who knows how badly) and of course next time you will not be able to borrow any money from two reasons: you'll know it can physically hurt, others will hear you are a bad payer and will not want to borrow you any money.
The worst situation in which you can be is if you currently have no income, for some reason are unable to work (but in this case you should be given some allowance from the Government -- and that should be a pretty good one since you're not living in a 3rd world country, but in a top one) and have no one left around you (parents, brothers) and you are also divorced and have to pay some maintenance for your kid(s) which are left in the care of your ex-wife while you have an underground gambling problem and a lot of debts to pay to others.
-- If that is the case, I see no option to get back on track unfortunately. BUT if this is not the case then, Everything else IS SOLVABLE.
PS: And asking on Forums how you can win at the casino (as I see you do), is not the way to recover yourself from the gambling addiction!

Hi Ronald, I know I don't have the answers for others, yourself included. But I do know that you do not need to worry about recovering from your Gambling Debt. You need to find help recovering from your Gambling Addiction. One thing that I know that has helped many people who have found themselves where you are now is Gamblers Anonymous and programs like it. You can get help this way almost anywhere you are in the world and if you can't find a local group, you can participate online. The one thing you need is a real desire to stop catering to your addiction and get your life back on an even keel. If you can do this for yourself, then the Gambling Debt will resolve itself over time. Finally, I must say that as much as we enjoy having you here at Gambling City, participating in the forum, coming here for you is something like a recovering alcoholic going into a bar just to "hang out."
