Hi. Anyone here has experienced similar issues? I am interested in online gambling and I spend hours on it. I am financially sound and money is not the issue here. I spend long hours in front of the system and I even forget to eat and drink. Once I was hospitalized due to dehydration. I haven’t moved from the chair the whole day and I fainted at last. I don’t know how to get rid of this addiction. My friend has suggested a gambling addiction treatment center in Calgary (Canada Drug Rehab). But I don’t know whether this treatment would be effective. What if the addiction relapses after the treatment? Any thoughts? Edited by moderator Wednesday, December 07, 2016 5:49:04 PM(UTC)

BetFilter and GamBlock (search for these on Google) are two good and effective tools to help you stop gambling. Those will literally block your access to websites with gambling content from PC and from phone. And so if you'll not be gambling you'll do something else, correct? What else could you do is to get out more frequently (at a movie, at a sport event) with 1 or 2 friends, that will help as well for your health. Personally I do not think that you need to go to a rehab centre, friends will help a lot more. - But if you go, you'll learn a new experience. I feel like this story must be made up (and I see that a moderator has removed a link, which suggests the real purpose of this post is to promote spam!). Money is not an issue!? I can't see how someone CAN'T lose all their cash if their addiction is so bad that they cannot even get up to eat! When do they get up to go to work to earn the cash that they're gambling with? Perhaps this person is an AP making money from gambling, however if you can't control yourself to even care for the most basic needs, I somehow doubt this!
