I can't take credit for "Wilde is the Joker". I only wrote the introduction -- the rest of the book was written by Josh Wilde, who has long been part of the Gambling City team.

Josh is a satirist and in this book he uses gambling as a way to satirize everything from politics to on line romances.

When I say "everything", I am not exaggerating. He even satirizes Gambling City and me (I manage Gambling Grumbles). Much of the book deals with online casinos. Have you ever been accused of being a "bonus abuser"? Josh looks at the term and how some casinos use it to mean whatever they want. Of course, he does not allow players to get off scot-free, especially those who make unreasonable demands of casinos.

Brick and mortar casinos have their own section in the book and Josh goes after them as well. He does the same with TV shows and movies (his Harry Potter parody is a riot).

What about people who are not gamblers? Josh points out that there are no such people. Everybody gambles every day of their lives. Think about it -- if you put money in a parking meter, you are betting that you will get a fine if you do not. If you don't put money in it, you are betting that you can get away with it this time.

If you want the paperback copy of Wilde is the Joker, you can order it directly from Create Space (an Amazon daughter company) at https://www.createspace.com/7103983 . Generally, they ship it out a bit more quickly than the Amazon main site does. If you want the Kindle book (which is much less expensive) go to the Amazon site for your country or www.amazon.com and buy it there. If you don't own a Kindle, you can get a free app from Amazon which you can put on your computer, laptop, or even your cell phone and then buy the book. (Incidentally, for people in the US and Canada, if they are members of Kindle Unlimited, they can get the Kindle version of Wilde is the Joker for free.)

While I greatly appreciate Steve's post about my book, I feel it only fair to let you know that you may well be insulted by it. In fact, I start it with the following announcement:

Some remarks in this book may offend the following:

*The US Senate, the US House of Representatives, at least 5 current or former Presidents.
*Citizens of Japan, Germany, France, Italy, the UK, Canada, Costa Rica, Israel, Arab nations, Turkey, Switzerland, Sweden, Monaco, Norway, Vietnam, and any country in the South Pacific.
*Stockbrokers, insurance companies, bankers, the Mafia, teachers, the KKK, and computer engineers.
*The SEC, FBI, CIA, DEA, NSA, IRS, USMC, RCMP, and Pennsylvania State Police.
*Democrats, Republicans.
*The Gambling City and Gambling Grumbles websites.
*Owners, customer service reps, and security departments for online casinos.
*Residents of Pennsylvania, Mississippi, New York, Alabama, Nevada, Arizona, Nashville and Boston.
*Delta and Alitalia airlines, Coca-Cola, Hertz, Smirnoff Vodka, McDonald's, CNN.
*Catholics, Protestants, Jews, Muslims, Hindus, Druids.
*The US Women's Soccer Team, The New England Patriots.
*Feminists, Anti-Feminists, Heterosexuals, Homosexuals.
*ISIS, Al Qaeda, Hezbollah, Hamas.
*Harvard, Princeton, 'Ole Miss, Rutgers, Auburn, FSU, Uppsala.

On the other hand, no animals were killed or injured during the writing of this book.
