What you do is wait for either 5 reds or 5 blacks to show up, then bet on the opposing colour (the one which hasn't appeared) and either cash-out if you win, or double your wager for each round that you lose (ie martingale).

Do this up to a maximum of three times. If you've had 3 consecutive losses, than this will mean that the same colour has shown up EIGHT darn times in a row!! At this point, whine, bitch and cry to the casino floor manager that the wheel must be rigged and that you have been treated unfairly......If ya do it just right, the casino just may refund you some OR ALL of your losses :)

Sorry James, but that sounds just crazy all the way around. However many times one color comes up does not mean the other color is due to come up. One spin has nothing to do with the next. It is all random. Plus, whining, bitching, and crying will more likely get you thrown out of the casino than getting your money back. That's not how this works... that's not how any of this WORKS! d'oh! Brick wall

PS: Einstein was right... you can't beat roulette. As a matter of fact, your odds of winning on roulette are way lower than games such as craps, blackjack, or even video poker on a full pay machine. But, then, if you really want bad odds... try Keno.

Hi kattboots,

My post was meant to be kind of a joke!!

What your describing is called "Gambler's Fallacy" which is the belief that if an "event" hasn't come up for a significantly long period of time (in terms of probability), than it is more likely to occur in the near future, because the "event" is "due" to happen.

Re - whining, bitching, crying

Ahaha, yeah this was the "joke" part. For sure it could get one thrown out of a casino too, lol......Idk, it is not a strategy that I have personally practised, however I did know someone who used it at a casino(s). He said that the casino gave him a bunch of discounts/benefits and a partial refund (fyi - he was considered a "vip" at this casino).

Re - Einstein

Albert Einstein never said anything about casino games (as far as I know)……I studied physics in university, and as far as my memory serves, the only quote he made with regards to gambling was the one where he said "God does not play dice with the universe"...…….This quote was a criticism about quantum physics, in particular, the rule "Principle of Superposition"...…...it had nothing to do with gambling.

Hi James,

I have seen other comments you have made here, so when I saw you say that about roulette, I thought maybe your marbles got mixed up. My answer was meant to be tongue in cheek, but true too!

More on Einstein...

Journalist and author Ted Thackrey, Jr. is said to be the source of Albert Einstein's "actual" quote:

No one can possibly win at roulette unless he steals money from the table while the croupier isn’t looking.”
-Albert Einstein

But then, he was also quoted as asking Nick the Greek to wash his mouth out with soap after Nick played 3 rounds of Roulette, winning them all, while showing Einstein around Las Vegas.

Beats me if any of that is true, though.
