Spinit: A tiny sum and an even smaller responseGambling Grumbles Reportby Steve Russo
February 2020What is $28? About enough to buy lunch in a medium-priced restaurant or pay half of the cost of a taxi from JFK Airport in New York to your hotel in Manhattan. As small as that amount sounds, it is apparently too much for Spinit Casino to pay Sally C of New Zealand. Sally wrote to us saying, "I closed my account on 9th Dec 2019 requesting my balance of $28 be refunded back to me. Sent required bank statement with swift number for them to pay refund manually. They acknowledged they had received these. Last contact from casino was on 20th Jan 2020 saying they would get back to me soon. Have sent many emails including last one to them on 5th Feb 2020 asking why they have not refunded my balance yet. Have had no response since." Gambling Grumbles wrote to Spinit and received a form response reading that it has opened a file on our email and "one of our qualified crew members will respond shortly". That was 10 days ago and we haven't heard a word from the casino since. We have to wonder how, if $28 is too much for Spinit to pay, what it would do if a player had a really big win.
